This past March 21, in the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, the members of the qualifying jury of the first Guayaquil Biennial of Painting met with Pablo Martinez, Director of the Museum to select the winning works of art. The jury included Luis Miranda, Jaime Villa, Bolivian artist, Pepe Luque, and the critic and art collector, Milko Rodic.
The jury selected three first place winners and bestowed Honorable Mentions on several artists. The three winning works were selected from among 246 paintings by 150 visual artists. The names of the winners will be announced on 1 April during the inauguration of the First Guayaquil Biennial of Painting. The Award Ceremony will take place in the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, located in Fco. de P. Icaza and Cordova. (First floor, Seguros Condor Building).
