Alvaro Noboa invited  Rafael Correa to debate

The Ecuadorian businessman Alvaro Noboa, after showing certificates and diplomas that guarantee his outstanding academic life both in Ecuador and abroad, through a press conference he invited the Head of State, Rafael Correa, to debate with him in other languages.

“Rafael Correa, you like me, attended the San José (La Salle) School and also studied in Europe and the United States. I’ll show my report card of the San Jose School, as you can see I do not lose a single point in any subject throughout the school year; I was an excellent student, and I continued to be until the end and I graduated from the San Jose High School with the highest honours and here’s my diploma. I also studied in Europe, in Switzerland, I also studied in New York at the American Management Association.

C´est pour ça que je parle très bien le français, parce que j´ai etudié en Suisse pendant quatre ans. (That’s why I speak French very well, because I studied in Switzerland for four years). I also speak fluent English and that´s why I would like to have a debate with you in English, to show you my level of education, my level of knowledge of the language, so I invite you to do that.”

After making the formal invitation in English and French, Noboa said that his intention is that Ecuadorians distinguish and ratify the knowledge and skills between the two. “I´ve just invited economist Correa to debate with me in English, to see if he was an outstanding student as I was, if he learned English and French as he should have learned so we can demonstrate to Ecuador who is smart and who is donkey.”

Despite the announcement the Interior Minister, Jose Serrano, made yesterday, of sueing criminally Noboa for publications related to drug trafficking in the country, Noboa congratulated the members of the National Police for their work in combating drug trafficking, despite the inequality they´re experiencing by not having all the necessary tools for this hard work.

“He (Jose Serrano) conditions the trial though everyone knows that the Attorney General is a honorable person and will not file a lawsuit just because. He would first ask me to apologize to the police. I love the police! I love so much the police that I have supported them and we have had a good relationship for over 40 years and I want to make clear to Ecuador with this, that I have received plaques from the Police in gratitude for support at times when they have needed civilian support, therefore I had no qualms about apologizing to the police with these words:

Mr. Jose Serrano, Minister of the Interior, I thinks I’ve offended you, if you are offended then I apologize, because it was not my intention. I’ve always had an excellent relationship with the National Police of Ecuador and I have received plaques of recognition from you for the good relationship I have had with you throughout my life.

I also congratulate the police, by the unequal struggle they have had, in which without the tools that drug traffickers have galore, however, the police has been victorious in many battles and has seized drug shipments at the Port of Engabao, in La Clementina farm, during the state administration and has followed up on the diplomatic pouch that carried drugs to Italy. What a brave Police! But more than they have seized thousands of tons of drugs through the years throughout the country and have caught dangerous criminals risking their own lives, despite this inequality. I therefore, say congratulations gentlemen of the National Police!”

“Now what I have done is giving advise to economist Correa, in national and international newspapers, on how to better manage the country economically because we are drowning. He needs my help and that of a lot of people.” Mine, because I master the art and science to create wealth and generate employment, I have demonstrated it in life, he has not demonstrated it in life … I’ve offered myself as an Ecuadorian patriot, supporting him to take forward the country, I keep thinking that it’s best that he resigns, but since he does not want to resign, let’s put our shoulder to avoid sinking. It seems he has been offended by the good advice,

he concluded.
