Martha Roldos Residents Complain About The High Cost Of Provisions

During his tour of the Martha de Roldos area on Tuesday evening, Presidential candidate Álvaro Noboa listened to residents of the zone who expressed their uneasiness with the increase in prices of basic provisions of prime necessity.  Noboa verified that prices have risen for rice, sugar, oil and vegetables in general because of the lack of support for agricultural producers and the lack of supplies in those zones.

Noboa toured the sector in the company of District 3 Assembly Member candidates, headed by, among others, Luis Noboa, Cecilia Freire and Wilson Sánchez Campos with whom he confirmed the lack of attention for basic services. Noboa committed himself to putting a halt to speculation on prices for basic needs.  “The lack of support for farmers means that the prices of provisions rise and as a good farmer, I know how to support all farmers with supplies and training so that, in that way, they can produce top quality and cheaper food goods.”

Today, Álvaro Noboa will visit the San Eduardo sector where he will have meetings with residents of the zone and will share a Christmas celebration with children from low income  families.
