The museum was inaugurated on January 25, 2006 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Its mission is to share with the public art and paintings collected by Luis Noboa Naranjo.
The museum Luis A. Noboa Naranjo also provides exhibitions of visual arts, promotes new ecuadorian artists, and organizes international painting biennales in order to highlight and publicize the best ecuadorian artwork.
