ÁLVARO AND ANNABELLA, THE FIRST RUNNING MATES TO REGISTER
In its Elections 2013 section, Quito newspaper, El Comercio, reports that PRIAN running mates registered in the National Electoral Council on Sunday afternoon, in strictest confidence and that the registration date was revealed yesterday. Annabella Azín, in an interview in Ecuavisa, confirmed that there is political persecution.
Expreso Newspaper emphasizes that the first registrant was Álvaro Noboa, and that the paperwork for PRIAN running mates Álvaro Noboa and Annabella Azín did qualify.
From the capital HOY newspaper provides the headline: NOBOA WINS ONE OVER CORREA, referring to the PRIAN leader having registered first, for having been ahead of the President who registered his candidacy in second place.
CRE Satelital reports that the registration of running mates Álvaro and Annabella, carried out at 11 am on Sunday, was recently revealed when journalists from various communications media checked the flannel board in the entrance of the National Electoral Council in Quito.
In an interview with Ecuavisa, yesterday, November 13, Dr. Sylka Sánchez, who leads the PRIAN national list for the Assembly stated that Noboa had registered in confidence in order to avoid any moves against him at the last hour due to the political persecution of Rafael Correa’s government.
