With God. Ecuadorians. On the banana issue, which is in fashion and we see it in the press every day, I want to give my position to all of you Ecuadorians.
My position is to support the President of the Republic, Mr. Guillermo Lasso, and to follow his ideology on this issue, an issue on which he expressed himself as follows: “Any exporter who wants to buy bananas below the official price will be sanctioned and In addition, the right to export will be removed.”
This is very, very correct and I am with the president on this issue, as on any issue in which the poor are losing. The poor always lose and I will not allow it, the poor always lose and I will not allow it. I am going to leave peacefully and join the millions of unemployed people in Ecuador on the banana issue.
I also want to join all those farm owners who are going bankrupt at the moment and work together so that the official price is paid, which is what allows bananas to be produced in Ecuador and in the world.
